Dame Dame Helen Mirren and Alesha Dixon are among celebrities supporting the Green Scarves for Solidarity campaign, calling for world leaders to renew promises made to Afghan women to protect their rights in any settlement made with the Taliban or other armed groups.

The initiative urges people around the world to wear a green scarf (the symbol of the Afghan Women's Network) and upload pictures of themselves as part of an online photo petition.
